Home Page for Ali Hanks
I'm a graduate student at
Columbia University
in
Physics
.
My main area of interest is high energy nuclear physics. I'm a memeber of the Columbia heavy ion group, working for the
PHENIX
experiment, which is part of
RHIC
at
Brookhaven National Laboratory
.
Most of my time is taken up with:
PHENIX work
Journal Club
Analysis
stuff
Level 2 Trigger work
Reaction Plane Detector
Forward Vertex Upgrade
Conference Talks/Posters
I also really enjoy
teaching
And along those lines I've done some
outreach
as well.
But every now and then, I need to get away ...
England
... London mostly
the Grand Canyon
Shenandoah National Park (pictures coming)
Austria, Germany and France (pictures coming)
Southern California (pictures coming)
Road trip around the western US (pictures coming)
Or distract myself with
other stuff
.
