Subject: J/Psi info From: Brad Abbott Date: Tue, 31 Dec 2002 11:38:12 -0600 (CST) To: D0 b-Physics Mailing List Colleagues, Set 3 of the muon streamed events is now available on Clued0. The 3 sets can be found at: /work/cherokee-clued0/tmb-trees/p1304_dec_set1_v2 /work/creek-clued0/tmb-trees/p1304_dec_set2_v3 /work/creek-clued0/tmb-trees/p1304_dec_set3_v4 Xiaojian is busily making more root-trees so more data will be arriving soon. I ran over set 2 and set 3 of the dimuon events. This gives us ~ 30,000 J/Psi (See table below:) hist ID trigger data Number of J/Psi Dimuons Pt>1.5 GeV set 2 set 3 -------- --------> 1 any dimuon trigger 21311 9730 100 2MU_A_L2M0 16463 632 101 2MU_W_L2M0_2TRK2 1488 548 102 2MU_A_L2ETAPHI 4891 1981 103 2MU_C_2L2_TRKLO 10581 4043 104 mu2ptxbtxx_fz 0 0 105 mu2ptxctxx_fz 0 0 106 mu2ptxatxx 0 0 107 2MU_A_2L2 1574 49 108 mu2ptxwtxx_fz 0 0 109 mu2ptxatxx_fz 9006 3745 110 2MU_CA_2L2L_2TRK 1117 589 111 2MU_CA_2L2_2TRK 0 0 112 2MU_CFT_2L2_2TRK 0 0 113 2MU_CA_2L2L 740 475 If the threshold is raised to 2.0 GeV for the muons one finds for set3 the number of J/Psi for any dimuon trigger is: 9214 so we are finding only a small number of J/Psi with track Pt between 1.5 and 2 GeV. I also see very little difference in the number of J/Psi when using all tracks and using muons which means that muon Id is working well. Once we vertex, the numbers will be lower since some of the J/Psi are found using axial only tracks. Cheers, Brad
