This project has the eventual aim of placing a scintillation or water Cerenkov cosmic ray detector on top of every high school in New York City. Starting small, we invited 10 teachers to bring a couple of students each to a Summer Institute held at NYU August 2002. We taught them the basic principles behind cosmic rays and detectors, and built several self-contained muon detectors which they have taken back to their schools.

Here are some files relating to the institute which might be useful

Since it isn't easy to track down, here's the manual for the quarknet board.

Nice to see everyone at the reunion! Let me know if I can help with your projects. I have spoken to Stefan about the possibility of getting out to a few schools this summer for debugging or general guidance.
