NEWS: I no longer use my eBookman, the capacitor was dying (for the second time) so I decided to upgrade. I find myself using a Sony Clie, which has a smaller-but-hires screen and better PIM options. I wish they'd come out with a successor to the eBookman.

This is a frontend for the ebmsync program Ed Skladany made available. It works fine for me, with buttons to synchronise all files, move things from RAM->MMC, MMC->RAM, PC->MMC, PC->RAM etc.
It uses the Tk/wish shell scripting language... this should be fine for all *nix systems. I develop on Mandrake (9.2) so my usb devices were slightly different than RedHat.
I had to add the following line to /etc/init.d/usb to load the usbserial module
insmod usbserial vendor=0x09b2 product=0x0001which I found in this post by Ed
For more information you might try Das Deniz' site which has loads of great info, or the README that comes with my program.
