The DSP 6202 processor board for ATLAS calorimeters
PU board documentation and references
- Online version: html
- Printable version: pdf
- References only: 6202, 6414
- The DSP6202 Software: pdf (draft of 22-Apr-2001)
Note: TI issues updated versions of its data sheets, reference guides, and
application notes. We try to keep track of these, by updating the references only
page above. The full board documentation does not necessarily contain up-to-date references.

Sample DSP code
You may browse
the existing code (also available
through the CERN WWW server).
Warning: the code is under development.
Please refer to the DSP6202 Software draft document.
Clock termination
We recommend to terminate the input clock and the FIFO clock on the
motherboard, as close as possible to the corresponding connector. Another
possibility is to put these terminations on the PU board. Then the input
clock should be terminated to ground with a 50-60 Ohm resistor as shown in
this picture (components side). The output FIFO
clock should be terminated to ground with a 50-60 Ohm resistor as shown in
this picture (back side).

Common Problems
I will try from now on to document various problems encountered
while operating the ROD. This will be maintained thanks to you, the ROD users!
- Problem seen at BNL with occasionally large/corrupted events
when using the local DRAM/VME mode: trk_04092001_bnl
