2nd Workshop on Galactic Physics with VERITAS

Columbia University and Barnard College
May 7-8, 2014

We are organizing a workshop in New York on high-energy Galactic physics as a part of developing a long-term plan for VERITAS observations of Galactic fields. We hope to have discussions on recent results in this field (X-rays, gamma-rays and TeV gamma-rays), as well as new ideas for future studies.

The workshop will start with an internal session with VERITAS members and associates on Tuesday, May 6. Open sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, May 7-8, to discuss what VERITAS and other instruments have accomplished so far, and what the prospects are for further progress in the coming years, while VERITAS can operate simultaneously with Fermi, HAWC, IceCube, and other instruments, and in anticipation of CTA coming online towards the end of this period.
