SLIC Input and Output Channel Map
Data enters and leaves the SLIC through utp cable with RJ-45 connectors.
Each of the 8 input and 1 output connectors (buffers)
on the board contains two active data channels.
Given below is the mapping of buffer and channel number with RJ-45 connector
pins for all the input and output channels.
For orientation, buffer H is at the top of the board and
the output buffer is at the bottom.
| Buffer |
RJ-45 pins |
Channel |
Function |
| H | 4,5 | 0 | IN - Trigger |
| | 1,2 | 1 | IN - Data |
| G | 4,5 | 2 | IN - Data |
| | 1,2 | 3 | IN - Data |
| F | 4,5 | 4 | IN - Data |
| | 1,2 | 5 | IN - Data |
| E | 4,5 | 6 | IN - Data |
| | 1,2 | 7 | IN - Data |
| D | 4,5 | 8 | IN - Data |
| | 1,2 | 9 | IN - Data |
| C | 4,5 | 10 | IN - Data |
| | 1,2 | 11 | IN - Data |
| B | 4,5 | 12 | IN - Data |

| A | 4,5 | 14 | IN - Data |
| | 1,2 | 15 | IN - Data |
| OUT | 4,5 | 0 | OUT - Xformer coupled |
| | 1,2 | 1 | OUT - no Xformer |
Note: before xx-Mar-00 the RJ-45-pin to channel mapping was reversed.
