Hardware Functionality

Bit Error Rates
The qualitiy of the links in the L1Cal2B system is quantified by their bit error rates. A tolerable BER for a particular link is given by the conditions of:
1) no errors that compromise DØ data taking
2) less than one data error per eight hours of normal operation of that link. Trouble shooting of data errors below this rate will likely be neglected until after the shutdown or perhaps even tolerated indefinitely.
   
ADF Crates (80 ADFs total)
Canned data that repeats set patterns every turn to exercise trigger algorithms in a pre-determined fashion.    
Pseudo-random data.    
Real data from N splitter channels (specify N!)    
A mixture: e.g. real data for N splitter channels, canned data for remainder of detector.    
TAB/GAB Crate
