Status of the Test Waveform Generator: Stefano Rapisarda
--------------------------------------

o 2 Cards put together
  - Xilinx FPGA Test Card
  - DAC Test Card

o Xilinx Test Card
  - 2 blocks of memory (2 channels)
  - used to drive DAC

o DAC Test
  - look at with digital scope
  - are generating pulses that look similar to BLS signals

o Next step
  - better user interface to allow more flexible use
  - some filtering on output
  - use real BLS signals from splitter as basis for DAC
    . some are posted on MSU web page

Status from Sacaly: Denis Calvet

o ADF PCB
  - have received 2 PCBs
  - sent one to assembler
    . should be back middle next week
  - Denis is checking mechanics on the other one
    . some minor errors found - fixable

o SCL Interface
  - desgin done
  - starting on schematic for reduced version
    . mezz. to plug on Virtex II eval kit
  - should start PCB next week
  - will need male right-angle HM connector
    . not avail in France
    . min order is 200
    . 55-pin Z-pack 2mm HM male right 
    . could get these from Nevis: sometime around the fall

o Reduced ADF (1 channel)
  - starting layout of this
  - will be used for simple tests
  - this is low priority: will be ignored if it gets in the way of
    other tasks

o LVDS cables
  - ERNI has had delays in fabricating these
    . should be ready mid-August
  - Nevis has ordered all of these cables
    . will send some to Saclay when they arrive (see below)

o Integration
  - option for Denis to come last 2 weeks of Aug still open
  - will have more information as soon as get the ADF back
    . final decision by end-June - mid-July
  - will probably use CLK7 from Nevis VME/SCL


Status from Nevis: Hal Evans

o TAB
  - 13 boards received from fabricator on Monday
  - 1 (+1 backup) sent to Assembler
    . should be back early next week

o Test Software
  - lots of progress on this
    . GUI control
    . TAB firmware download
    . TAB tests
  - step-by-step program for testing TAB developed

o Assembled Cables
  - All ADF-to-TAB cables scheduled to be shipped to Nevis on 11-July
  - All TAB-to-GAB cables on 25-July


Status from MSU: Philippe Laurens (after the meeting)

o L1Cal TCC Hardware
  - We are still waiting on the computer ordered to become 
    the Run IIb L1cal TCC.  It should arrive any day now.
