Progress Reports

Fermilab: Audio only.

DE – Lots of rack infrastructure in place, thanks to Lynn Bagby, Alan Stone et al.

ADF card is running in lock with SCL synched to Tevatron. Philippe running software (NT not Linux due to library issues)

Ready to send patterns to TAB. Negotiating with engineer at Nevis about method of synchronization. In the meantime look at parity bits. Signal string is all together from BLS to splitter to transition to AD2F. Philippe has software to try to capture real BLS waveforms; awaiting store. Currently using pulsers.

There have been a series of problems with beam abort kickers, collimators etc.

Synch with TAB – find where pattern starts. DE- good way is to look for all zeros as a signal.

Sabina-Working on receiving signals at L3. Need to iron out some problems; software?

MSU

J. Biel – received 20 ADF2 cards – looked at 2, tested 1; passed all tests except half of analog inputs. Test designed for certain gain and received another type. Question on back plane connector installation – stressed?

DE – trivial for Ph. To setup test for correct species of gain. There is permanent color coding indicating species.

DW – Is Adco awaiting word from us or is full production proceeding? JB/DE – They are continuing work; we just wanted some cards quickly to look for disasters. All will be here some time next week.

How many flavors of cards are there?

Northeastern

D. Wood – Bob Hirosky: Nikos asked for testing dataflow between L1 and L2. What is status of output of TAB? To test dataflow, need fiber from TAB. What is data format in terms of protocols?

Just starting to test L3 at Fermilab – no information yet.

Nikos wants to start new Irish postdoc. BH – could start L2 side tests next week so timing may not be bad.

DW – Nothing new on simulation since collab. meeting.

Sabina working on simulation code while on shift.
