EM Algorithm Discussion (cont): S.Lammers

o Desirable goal: get rid of the masks altogether
  - need to pin down what will be the effect on Cal-Track efficiency

o Extra Discussion: Isolation of EM objects
  - isolation bits are defined for a *region* of objects in eta
    (N,C,S) at each phi
    . if *any* EM object, regardless of threshold, passes the
      isolation in this region, then the bit will be set
  - note: there is currently a hook in the code to apply a threshold
    to objects before they can be considered isolated
  - would have to implement this in the Trigger Rate Tool
    . note that the TRT does not set isolation bits for a region
    . it needs to be modified to do this correctly regardless

o What modifications to the Firmware should be made
  1) make the modification allowing only EM objects above a specific
     threshold to be considered in setting the isolation bit
  2) Other modifications should be studied and accumulated. We
     should then request these all at one time closer to the shutdown.


Transition System Testing: J.Benitez

o 65 complete sets now tested (80 needed for full system)

o LVDS: will have only 7 spare LVDS cables if all the rest are good
  - plenty of others left at Nevis

o Rest of sets will be finished before Thanksgiving
