RUN 2B L1CAL MEETING MINUTES 10 January, 2006 Present o Fermilab L.Bagby, J.Benitez, G.Ginther, S.Lammers, M.Mulhearn, V.O'Dell, P.Renkel, A.Stone, R.Unalan, T.Zmuda o FSU T.Adams o Indiana H.Evans o MSU D.Edmunds, P.Laurens o Northeastern E.Barberis, C.Fantasia, D.Wood (apologies to those I couldn't see) Test Area Status ---------------- o Cabling: Alan & Rahmi have been working on the cabling - photo's available on Alan's website - TAB/GAB backplane side is done - routed to appropriate ADF crates - features . very difficult to do the last few cables . 3 times a locking mechanism fell off the backplane . one cable was nicked by wirecutters (#62) - should be checked - took as long as expected o This was delicate enough that Alan would prefer not to do it again - looking into possibility of leaving the cables connected to crate when we move it into the MCH - this should be possible - but needs to be planned in detail o ADF cabling - 1 crate already finished - the difficult bit will be the rack with 2 ADF crates in it . note: this won't be a problem in MCH1 - this part will take longer than expected because cables have to be resorted at ADF end . this won't have to be redone in MCH1 - probably 2-3 days more of work to finish this up . but can already start testing the cabled-up crate o Next Things to do - test what has already been cabled up - once all cabled - test whole system . Mike/Dan/Philippe will decide upon a format for this test - start exercising the TAB/GAB - COOR interface using a subset of COOR messages Triggerlist/Simulation ---------------------- o First Run IIb triggerlist (xml) has now been generated - 1 term of each main type of trigger o P17 jet calibration problem affects (some) of our jet turnon curves - are planning soon to take a enhanced bias run that should help out here Pulser ------ o Checks on pulser - were able to find changes made to (Run IIa) system using the pulser o Working on Run IIb system o Calibration - will take a calibration run soon (normal physics data sample) and derive calibration coefficients uisng the examine
