To the Editors of Physical Review Letters, We have reviewed the comments of Referee A on the revised version of manuscript LA6748. Here are our responses to Referee A's recommendations. -- "The usage of the word new is still somehat questionable; the word updated would seem a much better alternative..." The title of the manuscript has been changed to "An Improved Determination of alpha_s From Neutrino-Nucleon Scattering" and the word "new" has been changed to the word "improved" in the first line of the abstract. -- "There is still lack of reference to the CDHSW experiment..." The last sentence of the second paragraph of the paper has been changed to: "The $\alpha _{S}$ measurement from this analysis is one of the most precise due to the high energy and statistics of the experiment compared to previous measurements \cite{CDHSW,Oltman}." The following citations have been added: \bibitem{CDHSW} P. Berge {\it et al., Z. Phys.} {\bf C49}: 187 (1991). \bibitem{Oltman} E. Oltman {\it et al., Z. Phys.} {\bf C53}: 51 (1992). -- "Finally the authors are encouraged to publish their work in a longer paper..." A long article is in preparation. However, we feel that the timely nature of this result warrants a prompt publication in Physical Review Letters. With the changes described above, we have addressed all the issues brought forward by Referee A. We therefore look forward to a favorable decision to publish the manuscript.
