If you ever read `Lord of the Rings
<https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/33.The_Lord_of_the_Rings>`_, you
know that about a third of the third volume, `The Return of the King
<https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/838729.The_Return_of_the_King>`_,
consists of appendices to enhance the story you've just read.

The purpose of the following is to help enhance your physics work this
summer. If you've gone through :ref:`cpath`, :ref:`pythonpath`, or
:ref:`rdataframe`, you've got some time left, and you don't feel ready
to proceed to the :ref:`advanced exercises`, then feel free to browse
through the following.

There's not much about ROOT itself, but these sections may help better
prepare you for your upcoming research. [#lotr]_
