  1. Description of the Algorithm

Algorithm Description

The jet algorithm uses 2x2 TT ROIs as the basis for LM-finding (the 2,1,1 scheme). The jet algorithm returns:

  1. Et(4x4) for those ROIs that are LMs: the (pedestal subtracted) sum of TT Et's in the 4x4 region centered on the ROI
  2. 0 for those ROIs that are not LMs
The Et's returned by the algorithm are used to choose seven possible thresholds for each location in the ROI grid
