Dehlia (Deborah Lipp) dances a fairy quadrille. In the background we can see Louie the Loser, who hasn't yet mustured enough self-confidence to face the camera. |
From left to right: Gaia, Joe the Bartender [played by Bill Seligman], Cetacea (partly hidden), Coyote, Bill Seligman, Priscilla (mostly hidden), Trex, Zorro, Forty-five Jaguars, and Benny the Teapot (also hidden). |
Forty-five Jaguars and Bill Seligman do a little jammin' on the drums. Little does Bill suspect that Forty-five Jaguars, a Mayan High Priest, plans to sacrifice Bill's heart to the god Tohil. |
In the foreground, from left to right, we see that Qkzkqrrp, inhabiting June Schreiber's body, plans for the destruction of the human race by nuclear holocaust -- if it can get its beloved Priscilla off the planet in time. Vanessa explains the workings of a magical sword to Kanita, who's never seen magical weapon that was quite so small (unless you count Alexander the Great...). In the background, we see Coyote, Priscilla, Hippocrates (mentally reviewing his oath), and John Steed taking an opportunity for one last meal before the destruction of humanity. |
Van Dorn pauses a moment before mingling with the party guests. He's about to spin the web of lies and deceit that will leave him master of the world. |
Bill Seligman shakes Van Dorn's hand -- even though that hand is not Van Dorn's own. Bill, that foolish mortal, is no match for the immortal Van Dorn. [By the way, a round of applause for Dave Hull's cleverness in playing the role of "Bill Seligman." Not only do I get to attend to my own birthday party, which has a nice symmetry to it, but he gets all the presents!] |
Periwinkle Pipe and Gaia share a tete-a-tete. Actually, Peri is apologizing to Gaia for walking into Professor Diddleswythe's lecture. Gaia assures her that it's all right; only the People of the Trees are going to be exterminated, not the People of the Burrows. Nearby, Susan Lane, Hippocrates, and Forty-five Jaguars ignore this tender social interaction -- which perhaps explains why humanity is doomed. |
Trex, leader of the People of the Swap, and Leonid, newly-appointed Leader of the People of the Plains. Neither one has a strong liking for the People of the Trees, that is, the human race. |
