Homework will be assigned weekly, handed in during class and graded. Everyone is strongly encouraged to do the homework. Otherwise you won't learn anything (and also won't do very well in the class)!

Include on each problem set you hand in
  1. Your name
  2. Your Columbia PID number (C00xxxxxxx, not SSN)
  3. The class and section: C1402(001)
Getting Your Problem Set Back
Graded problem sets will be available approximately 10-14 days after they are turned in. You can pick them up in the Physics Office (704 Pupin). They will be filed in a cardboard crate labelled C1402 Graded Problem Sets. You should also check that your grades have been recorded. Go to the Grades & Results page for a list of scores.

Homework Graders
The graders for the problem sets are: Contact them directly by email if you have questions about your homework scores. You have two weeks after the problem set is returned to report any grading problems.
